Opening of New I-95 Northbound Off-Ramp at Long Wharf Drive in New Haven Scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2010
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a new I-95 Northbound Off-Ramp to Long Wharf Drive (Exit 46) in New Haven is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 24, 2010.
All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.
The work in Contract E2 is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program and includes the construction of a new ramp (Route 34 Flyover Bridge) from I-95 NB to Route 34 WB at Exit 47 in New Haven. The project also includes reconstruction of the Route 34 WB Bridge over Brewery Street, relocation of the Exit 46 ramps at Long Wharf and Sargent Drives and the construction of a second lane from I-91 SB to I-95 SB.  The project is in advance of the construction of the new Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge and the I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange.
