Night Work for Removal of the Existing Bridge on Route 63 over the Metro-North Railroad and Naugatuck River in Naugatuck
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that, weather permitting, the removal of the bridge deck from existing Bridge No. 01034 (Route 63 over the Metro-North Railroad and Naugatuck River) will begin at night on August 2, 2010. 

During night operations, alternating one-way traffic will be encountered on Route 63 over the Metro-North Railroad and Naugatuck River.  The alternating one-way traffic will be between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. In addition, road closures of up to 10 minutes may occur.  The duration of the night operations are expected to last approximately 2 weeks.

Various lane closures may be encountered between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Route 63, Monday through Friday.  

DOT Project No. 0087-0138 was awarded to Brunalli Const., Co. of Southington, CT. on October 22, 2008 at a cost of $23,369,683.00 and is scheduled for completion September 9, 2011.
