Milling and Paving on Route 1 from Elliot Place to the Bridgeport Town Line in Fairfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and paving project will be performed on Route 1 from Elliot Place to the Bridgeport Town Line in Fairfield. This project is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 20, 2010 and continue through Wednesday, July 21, 2010.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings). No work will take place on Sunday, July 3, or Monday, July 4, 2010 due to the Fourth of July Holiday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
