Construction of Left Turn Lanes on Route 127 (White Plains Road) at the Intersection of Reservoir Avenue in the Town of Trumbull
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Department’s Office of Engineering is developing plans for construction of left turn lanes on Route 127 at the intersection of Reservoir Avenue and the driveway to the commercial property at 888 White Plains Road.  This project is currently scheduled to begin in the fall of 2012 and continue through the fall of 2013.
Route 127 will be widened at the intersection and the existing traffic signal will be modified or replaced.  The existing concrete sidewalk will be reconstructed and the existing drainage structures may be replaced or modified.  Conflicting underground and overhead utilities will be relocated as needed.  Some minor rights-of-way acquisition will be required.
It is the Department's policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project's development.  If there is adequate interest, an informational meeting will be conducted.  At this time, it is not anticipated that a formal public hearing will be necessary.
The present schedule indicates that construction could begin in fall of 2012 and continue through the fall of 2013.
