Work to Begin on Monday, August 3, 2009 for Minor intersection Improvements on Route 229 at Battisto Road and Business Park Drive in Bristol

The Department of Transportation is announcing that J Iapaluccio, Inc. of Brookfield, CT will begin work on the $728,000 project for the intersection improvements on Route 229 at Battisto Road and Business Park Drive.

In association with this work, lane closures can be expected between 9:00am and 3:00p.m.

This project will be widening the north bound roadway to the east in order to allow room for a left turn lane into Business Park Drive and Battisto Road. A traffic signal will also be installed at this intersection.

Construction signs will be utilized to warn motorists of the work zone.

The Anticipated completion date for this project will be April 2010.
