The Department of Transportation is announcing that the reconstruction of West Main Street in Plainville, between Washington Avenue and Bohemia Street, will begin Monday, June 15th.
In association with this work, traffic will be detoured around the work zone between 7:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m., as well as between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.  In addition, Webster Street will be closed to through traffic.  All streets will remain open for local and business traffic.  The detour is expected to be in effect for one week.
This work is part of the ongoing Route 72 Relocation project in Bristol and Plainville. The project is being performed by Manafort Brothers, Inc. of Plainville, Connecticut under contract with the Department of Transportation for $40 million.  The anticipated completion date for the project is in November 2010.
