Temporary Detour to Begin for Reconstruction of Country Club Road in Middletown
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that DeRita Construction Co. will be detouring traffic for approximately one week.  The temporary closure is necessary in order to facilitate the installation of three culvert crossings. The crossings must be installed one at a time between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  One lane of Traffic in each direction will be maintained during all other times.  
The contract was awarded to DeRita Construction Co. of Middletown CT at a cost of $866,642.05 on June 4, 2008 and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2009.  

Traffic will be detoured using the following roads:

East Bound Country Club Road

Truck Traffic will be diverted east bound onto Higby Road to Route 66. 

Normal Traffic will be diverted to Higby Road to Sisk Street then Ballfall Road.

West Bound Country Club Road

Traffic from East Street and Westfield Street will be diverted onto Ballfall Road to Sisk Street then Higby Road.

TRUCK ALERT for West Bound Country Club Road: Trucks from East Street and Westfield Street will be diverted onto Ballfall Road.  Truck traffic will remain on Ballfall Road to Ruote 66.
