The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that routine bridge inspections will take place this weekend, May 2 and 3, 2009, at the following locations:

• I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 55 and 56 in East Hartford, Sunday, May 3, 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to the work schedules may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work areas.
