Resurfacing on Route 9 (north & south) from Exit 7 (Rte. 82) to Exit 10 (Rte. 154) in Chester, Haddam and Middletown

The State Department of Transportation is announcing an extension to the ongoing milling and resurfacing project being performed on Route 9 (north & south) from Exit 7 (Rte. 82) in Chester to Exit 10 (Rte. 154) in Middletown. This project is now scheduled to continue through Tuesday, October 27, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
