Resurfacing of Route I-95 (north & south) Northbound from Exit 17 to 19 and Southbound from Exit 24 to 17 in Fairfield/Westport

The State Department of Transportation announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on I-95 northbound from Exit 17 to 19 and southbound from Exit 24 to 17 in Fairfield/Westport. This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 and continue through Wednesday, September 23, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
