Replacement of Route 25  Bridge over Cold  Spring Brook in the Town of Newtown to Begin the week of May 18, 2009
The Department of Transportation announced today, weather permitting, construction operations will begin during the week of May 18, 2009, for the replacement of Bridge #02221, Route 25 over Cold Spring Brook in the Town of Newtown.
Nagy Bros. Construction Company, Inc. of Monroe, CT will be performing the work at a cost of $ 845,337.00.
Stage 1 construction will consist of the replacement of the southbound side of Route 25 with a new culvert.
Stage 2 construction will consist of the replacement of the northbound side of Route 25 and the relocation of an existing gas main.
Traffic Operations
Expect possible delays of up to 10 minutes during construction for the placing of barrier. Bi-directional traffic will be maintained during all hours.
Traffic control will be by Flaggers and construction signs.
