Repairs to the West River Bridge on I-95 between Exit 44 and Exit 46 in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work for repairs to the West River Bridge between Exit 44 and Exit 46 in New Haven. Work is scheduled to begin on or around Monday, October 26, 2009.

The contract was awarded to Middlesex Corporation on September 9, 2009 at a cost of $5,787,822.00 and scheduled to be completed by November 30, 2010. The Project consists of repairs to the concrete bridge deck, structural steel and bridge drainage. Lane closures can be expected on local roads starting the week of October 26, 2009. The Contractor will not being doing any work on I-95 until after March 1, 2010. The allowable hours of work are:

Kimberly Avenue and Route 10 - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday nights beginning at 9 p.m.
