Rehabilitation of Route 34 Bridge over Derby Canal in the Town of Derby to Begin

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of rehabilitation work on the Route 34 bridge over the Derby Canal in the Town of Derby. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday May 18, 2009.

The contract was awarded to Hammonasset Construction, LLC of Clinton, CT at a cost of $557,355.00 and is scheduled to be completed by September 2009.

Motorists may experience alternating one way traffic Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
