Reconstruction of Route 20 in East Granby Entering Final Construction Phase - Project to be Completed Roughly One Year Ahead of Schedule

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the reconstruction of Route 20 in the Town of East Granby that started on June 24, 2007 will start the final stage of construction by reconstructing Route 20 near Center Street, and also Route 20 West of Holcomb and Newgate Roads. The work west of Holcomb Road will take place at night starting April 13, 2009, and is expected to be completed by April 24, 2009. The Contractor will reduce the traffic to alternating one-way traffic starting at 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the next day. Motorists should expect delays.

The work is performed by Paganelli Construction of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

The Department anticipates the project will be completed in July 2009.
