Beginning March 23, 2009, the Connecticut Department of Transportation will recommence bridge expansion joint replacement work at various locations throughout the state.  Work will take place during both day and nighttime hours on Routes 2, 9, 15, and 72 as well as I-84, I-91, and Elm Street.  The work will take place in the towns of Cromwell, East Hartford, Hartford, Southington, Vernon, Manchester, Middletown, Tolland, Wethersfield, Windsor, Rocky Hill and Willington.

This $1,909,340.00  project is being performed by Costello Industries, Inc. of Newington, Connecticut under contract with the Department of Transportation. The project began during the 2008 construction season. The anticipated completion date is June 2009.

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and use caution through this and all other construction work zones.
