The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that beginning July 13, 2009, work will begin for the upgrading of existing guiderail systems along Routes 2, 2A, and 117.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane of travel in each direction during the following times:

Monday through Friday - 9 AM to 3 PM
Saturdays and Sundays – 10 AM to 6 PM 

The contract was awarded to ADF Industries Inc. of Berlin, CT, on June 19, 2009 at a cost of $681,160 and is scheduled for completion in November 2009.
