Nighttime Closure of Long Wharf Drive at Sargent Drive in New Haven Scheduled to Start on February 9, 2009

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a detour will be in effect for the closure of Long Wharf Drive from Sargent Drive to the I-95 Exit 46 Off Ramp in New Haven. The closure will occur Monday thru Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for the period February 9, 2009 to March 6, 2009. Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather.

This closure is required for demolition of a portion of the bridge carrying I-95 over Long Wharf Drive. The bridge is being widened as part of the I-95 corridor improvement program that includes the construction of the new Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge and I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange.

A detour will be in place to direct motorists to Sargent Drive via Canal Dock Road.
