Night Construction Activities to Begin on Federal Road (Route 202) in Brookfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that night work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00pm as part of the work required for the Brookfield Bypass project.  Night operations are expected to be completed by Thursday, June 18th.
June nighttime construction activities consist of milling and paving portions of Federal Road (Route 202) at the current terminus of the Route 7 connector, as well as work on the connector’s  on and off ramps.  The contract allows these activities to operate from 7:00pm to 6:00am. Work is expected to take place June 9th, 10th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, weather permitting.
O&G Industries, Inc. began construction of the Route 7 Bypass project in April of 2007.  The 2.5 mile limited access highway project will extend the Route 7 connector from its current terminus at Federal Road to a point near the New Milford town line.  Work is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
Motorists should expect slight delays in this area due to a reduction in the number of travel lanes available.
