The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the closure of Fifth Street between Howard Avenue and Hallock Avenue in New Haven for approximately two months. The closure is required for the relocation of a sanitary sewer line that goes under I-95 at Hallock Avenue and Fifth Street.

The closure will remain in effect for approximately two months.  Detour signing will be in place to direct traffic to alternate routes.  Local access for area residents will be provided.
