Closure of Federal Street at Route 6 in Bristol Rescheduled

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the closure of Federal Street at the intersection of Rt.6 is being rescheduled to begin Monday, March 9, 2009. The road will be closed to traffic for approximately two weeks for the installation of a box culvert on Federal Street.

The work is part of a drainage improvement project on Route 6 from Federal Street to Oakland Street and at the intersection of Rt. 69 and Maple St. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2009.

Traffic Detour For Access to Federal Street

Traveling north on U.S. Route 6 and State Route 69 - Take a right onto Maple Street and right onto Federal Street

Traveling south on U.S. Route 6 and State Route 69 - Take a left onto Maple Street and right onto Federal Road.
