Bridge Closure, Route 130 (Stratford Ave.) over the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport

The State Department of Transportation announced today that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 130 (Stratford Ave.) over the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport.The project will require the bridge to be closed while the work is being performed and a posted detour will be in effect. This project is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Wednesday).If canceled due to weather, the work will be performed on Thursday, August 27, 2009.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
