The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 322 at South End Road in Southington will be closed beginning Friday, August 22, 2008 at 8:00pm and will be reopened Monday, August 24, 2008 at 5:00 AM for the replacement of Bridge No. 03231 .

Signs will be posted advising motorists of a detour utilizing South End Road, Savage Road and Meriden Avenue.

This work is part of the ongoing $560,000.00 project to replace Bridge No. 03231, Route 322 over an unnamed brook, in Southington. The work is being performed by New England Infrastructure Inc., of Upton Ma.        

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution through this detour.
