NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that Tree Work will be performed on Route 15 (southbound) between Exits 44 and 41 in Fairfield/Westport. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, September 3, 2008 and continue through Thursday, October 30, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Tuesdays - Thursdays). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
