NEWINGTON, Conn.-Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Tree Removal project will be performed on Route 149 in East Haddam.  This project is scheduled to take place on or about Wednesday, April 30, 2008 and continue through Thursday, May 1, 2008.

This project will be performed on Route 149 in the vicinity of its intersection with Route 82.  A posted detour will be in effect while the work is being performed.                                   

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.  The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Wednesday - Thursday). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
