Traffic Shift on Route 7 in
The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that the traffic shift on Route 7 between Allen’s Meadows (in the vicinity of
Route 7 northbound and southbound traffic will be shifted from its current alignment to the newly constructed pavement on the west side of the road, to allow for work on the east side of the road.
The work will be completed during the day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays as lanes will be reduced to one in each direction and will require intermittent traffic stoppages, while the work takes place. It is anticipated that this traffic configuration will continue until the spring of 2009.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
