NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Traffic Sensor project will be performed on I-84 (westbound) in the Slow Speed Lane, between Exits 43 (Trout Brook Connector) and 44 (Prospect Ave.), in West Hartford.  This project is scheduled to take place on or about Tuesday, June 24, 2008.  Rain date: Wednesday, June 25, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (Tuesday evening). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
