NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Signal Replacement project will be performed on

Route 220 from Spring Garden Road to Washington Road and on Route 190 at Scitico Road in Enfield. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Saturday, October 18, 2008 and October 19, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Saturday & Sunday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
