NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 81 from Walnut Hill Road to the Killingworth Town Line in Clinton.  This project is scheduled to occur on or about Monday, June 30, 2008 and continue through Thursday, July 10, 2008. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mondays - Fridays). No work will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2008 and Friday, July 4, 2008 due to the Holiday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
