NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a routine Bridge Inspection will be performed on Route 130 (Stratford Ave.) over Pequonnock River between Kossuth Street and Water Street in Bridgeport. This activity is scheduled to take place on or about Wednesday November 12, 2008. This road closure was originally scheduled to take place on November 5, 2008.
Please be advice that the entire Route 130 (Stratford Ave.) will be closed during the inspection which is schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A detour route will be established around this location.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
