·         The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction work is scheduled to begin on October 27, 2008 for the reconstruction of Coles Road in Cromwell.  The work will take place between Route 372 and just north of Christian Hill Road.  Work on this project involves the upgrade of drainage structures and a new roadway surface. While this work is being performed Coles Road may be reduced to alternating one way traffic between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm Monday thru Friday.  

This contract was awarded to King Construction Inc. of Bloomfield CT. on October 6, 2008 for an estimated cost of $1,668,055 and is scheduled to be completed in November of 2009.                             

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and use caution through this and all other construction work zones.
