The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing nighttime closures over three day period beginning Monday 12/8/08 and completing Wednesday 12/10/08 at the I-95 north and south off ramps to SR796 (Daniel Wasson Connector to Route 15) at interchange 38 and the on ramp to I-95 southbound from Route 1 at interchange 39A. The closures are being scheduled between the hours of 10 p.m. And 6 a.m. in order for the contractor to perform tree clearing work.
The schedule for the closures is:
I-95 Northbound Exit 38, off ramp to SR796 (Connector to Route 15) - Closed Monday, December 8, 2008 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Route 1 southbound on ramp to I-95 southbound Interchange 39A - Closed Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
I-95 Southbound Exit 38, off ramp to SR796 (Connector to Route 15) - Closed Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Detour signs will be posted throughout the area to guide motorists to alternate access due to these ramp closures. Variable message boards are being activated this week to provide advance notice to motorists. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and know alternate routes available prior to closures occurring.
