NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on SR 527 (West Street) from Route 30 (Hartford Turnpike) to Rout 74 (Union Street).  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, June 24, 2008 and continue through Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Mondays – Fridays). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
