NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 205 from Route 12 in Plainfield to Route 169 in Brooklyn.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, June 24, 2008 and continue through Friday, August 1, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  No work will take place on Saturday or Sunday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
