NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 2 and Route 184 in North Stonington.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, June 10, 2008 and continue through Friday, June 20, 2008.

This project will be performed on Route 2 from Route 184 to end of overlap to Stonington Town Line and on Route 184 from Route 2 to end of rotary to Boom Bridge Road.                               

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  No work will be performed on Saturday or Sunday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
