NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Routes 218 & 189, at the intersection of Cottage Grove Road and Bloomfield Avenue, in Bloomfield. This project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 and continue through Friday, May 16, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday - Friday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
