NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a  Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 (north & south) from the Wallingford Town Line to the Middletown Town Line in Meriden.  This project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 14, 2008 and continue through Thursday, October 16, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings) and 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday evenings). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
