NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 (north & south) from Exit 21 in Cromwell to Exit 27 in Hartford. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, September 30, 2008 and continue through Thursday, October 9, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings) and 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Friday and Sunday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
