Limited Parking at Cannondale Railroad Station in Wilton, Connecticut,

To Begin On Monday, January 7, 2008

Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that there will be a reduction in the number of available parking spaces at the Cannondale Railroad Station in the Town of Wilton during construction of a restroom at the station.

The work will begin early Monday morning, January 7, 2008, and continue through May 2008.

The Station will remain open at all times. Both vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.

Commuters are advised to allow extra time to reach the train station and board the train. The Connecticut Department of Transportation understands the inconvenience of these closures and will complete this work as quickly as possible.

This work is part of an ongoing project to upgrade rail facilities on the New Haven Line.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation appreciates commuters’ patience and cooperation as improvements and upgrades occur on the New Haven Rail Line. These projects support the State’s continued effort to meet future needs of Connecticut’s public transportation system.
