NEWINGTON, Conn.-Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Highway Line Painting project will be performed at the following locations: Route 15, from Airport Road. on ramp to Charter Oak Bridge, including ramps, in Hartford. Route 6 from I-84 EB (Exit 60) to U.S. Rte. 44, in Manchester, and various ramps in and around I-84 & I-384 in Manchester & East Hartford.

This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, May 6, 2008 and continue through Thursday, May 8, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday – Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
