· The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction work is scheduled to begin on August 20, 2008 for Emergency Repairs to the Route I-91 Southbound Bridge over Route 372 in Cromwell. Work on this project involves of replacement of a damaged fascia girder and a section of the bridge deck. The left shoulder of the Bridge will be closed and all lanes of I-91 will be shifted to the right for the duration of the project.

This contract was awarded to Arborio Corporation of Cromwell Ct. on July 14, 2008 for an estimated cost of $721,957 and is scheduled to be completed in April of 2009.

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and use caution through this and all other construction work zones.
