At Huntingdon and Irvington Avenues

Waterbury, CT- The Department of Transportation announced weather permitting, the closure of East Aurora Street at Route 73 to safely facilitate paving operations. The closures are scheduled to take place on the following days:

Saturday April 19, 2008 6am to 6pm

Sunday April 20, 2008 6am to 6pm

Saturday April 26, 2008 6am to 6pm

Sunday April 27, 2008 6am to 6pm

Detour signage shall be in place with properly positioned Waterbury Police personnel to assist motorists with the Detour.

Variable Message Boards shall be positioned in advance of the intersection on Route 73 alerting motorists to use Tompkins Street and Watertown Avenue as Detour routes.

Motorists should expect minimal delays.
