NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that Bridge Maintenance will be performed on I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 50 and 51, in Hartford.  This project is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, 2008. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for the project is 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Saturday evening). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
