NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on I-84 (westbound) between Exits 24 and 18, in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday,

May 6, 2008 and continue through Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (Tuesday - Saturday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
