NEWINGTON, Conn. -  State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that routine Bridge Inspection work will be performed on I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 57 and 59 in East Hartford. This project is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 2 through Friday December 5, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
