Wilton, Connecticut Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut will be shutting off the water supply to area businesses and residents on Route 7 in Wilton to allow work on the water main.  In addition, the shutoff may also affect residents and businesses in neighboring areas.  The shutoffs will take place at night, from 10:00pm to 4:00am, as follows:

·         Tuesday, May 6 – Town Hall area

·         Wednesday, May 7 – Ridgefield Road (Route 33) area

·         Thursday, May 8 – Pimpewaug Road area

·         Tuesday, May 13 – School Road area

·         Thursday, May 15 – Ridgefield Road (Route 33) area

Residents and businesses in these areas will be notified by Aquarion prior to the water service being shut off.  The work is weather sensitive and may be rescheduled if weather conditions are not favorable. The water shutoffs are in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 in Wilton, that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.

Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
