NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Water Main Installation project will be performed on Route 85, from Beckwith Road eastbound to Turner Road, in Montville.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, December 11, 2007 and will continue through November 8, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  No work is scheduled for Saturdays or Sundays.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
