Route 7, Wilton
Nighttime Lane Closures Scheduled
Wilton Train Station Parking Lot To Be Paved
Week Of April 30, 2007
Wilton, Connecticut Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that there will be nighttime lane closures on Route 7 between Wolfpit Road and Deerfield Road, beginning the week of April 30, 2007 and lasting for approximately one month.  The work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday, from 9:30pm to 6:00am each night, weather permitting.
There will be alternating one-way traffic through the work zone and Wilton police will be on site for traffic control during this time.  The lane closures are necessary in order to lay water main pipes in the roadway.
In addition, other work scheduled to take place next week includes paving the parking lot at the Wilton Train Station, from May 2 – 4, weather permitting.  Approximately 20 parking spaces will be unavailable to commuters during this time.
The work is part of the overall project to widen Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
