Route 7 Wilton Reconstruction Project
Portion Of School Road Scheduled To Close
On July 9, 2007

Wilton, Connecticut Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that School Road in Wilton, between Kristine Lilly Way and Route 7, is scheduled to be closed to traffic on Monday morning, July 9, 2007, beginning at 7:00AM.  The closure is expected to last for approximately eight weeks and is necessary to reconstruct the roadway.  Motorists to and from Route 7 will be detoured on Kristine Lilly Way and Catalpa Road.

The work is part of the overall project to widen Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.

Please use caution and follow the posted speed limit when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
