NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on SR 707 (Whitney Avenue), from the New Haven Town Line to Glendower Street, in Hamden/North Haven.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, October 17, 2007 and continue to Friday, November 2, 2007.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). No work is scheduled for Saturdays or Sundays.   

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
