NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that the Milling and Resurfacing project being performed on Route 6, from Town Hill Road to the Bristol Town Line, in Plymouth, has been extended. This project is now scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2007 and Saturday, September 15, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Friday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
